A long time ago, the city of Hemelion in Germany was confronted with a great problem. It grew to be full of rats. The rats had been so huge and fierce that they fought the dogs, killed the cats, and beat the children in the cradles. they ate up the corn in granaries.
At last, the humans went to the mayor of the town and requested him to do something. The mayor referred to as an assembly of the councilors and talked about the trouble for hours. But they may want to locate any way out. At that, a stranger entered the corridor room. He went up to the council desk and said," People are known as me the pied piper. If you pay me a thousand guilders, I will rid your city of rats." The mayor agreed to his proposal.

The pied piper went to the road and took out a pipe from his pocket. Then he started playing the pipe. Soon the rat got here out tumbling from each residence in Hemelion.
The man playing the pipe moved into the road and the rats accompanied him. He went down to the bank of the river Weser and waded into the water. The rats observed him and have been drowned.
Now he got here to the mayor and demanded a thousand guilders. But the mayor offered him only fifty guilders.
The pied piper will become irritated and refused to take fifty guilders. He went down to the street and played a new tone on his pipe. At the sound of the music, all the youth of Hemelion got here running.
The piper walked alongside the road and kids accompanied him. He walked to the hill. As quickly as he reached the hill it opened up and he walked into it with the adolescents following him. Then the hill closed and they were never seen again.
